SUBMIT TO THE HIGHER LEADER (1)
God wants us to submit to higher authorities. You must start practising how to submit yourself to higher authorities. When you submit yourself to a higher authority, you do it for two reasons. The first reason is to avoid the wrath of God; you don’t want the judgment of God. That is a lesser reason. The higher reason you do this is for the sake of your conscience so that your conscience will not be dead.
When you don’t submit to a higher authority or you mock people that do so, you are damaging and destroying your conscience unconsciously such that it follows a wrong standard or becomes dead, callous, seared, or neutral. Your conscience is critical to your spiritual health. The Bible says we should obey and submit ourselves to higher authorities for the sake of our conscience. Most people don’t understand this and as a result, they have damaged their conscience to a place that it just allows them to do anything.
If you drink hot tea daily, very soon your throat will stop disturbing you. The hot tea will burn your throat so well that it will deaden the cells there. This is what a seared conscience looks like. Every time you violate anything, an emblem or a symbol of authority, you deaden your conscience a little bit more. But every time you obey a symbol of authority, you awaken your conscience a little bit more so much so that when you come to a place where you need to make a life-and-death decision in a very short time, your conscience will alert you.
Prayer: Lord, I receive grace to always submit to higher authorities in my life in Jesus' Name. Amen!
