PRAYING FOR OUR NEIGHBORS, COWORKERS, AND CLASSMATES
Sometimes, it's easier to pray for people on the other side of the world than it is to pray for those we see every day. We don't have to be a missionary and travel across the globe to make a difference. We can look around, right where God has us. Most likely, there are many along our everyday path that we could be praying for. Take a look at your workplace, school, neighborhood, church, grocery store, coffee shop, etc. How can you help/serve/be a blessing? Is there someone who doesn't know about Jesus? Tell them! Is there someone who needs a friend? Come alongside them! Is there someone hurting? Pray for them! You can make a difference! Go and be a light and an example to those around you. Here are some ways that we can pray:
- Pray for the lost to come to know Him. (1 Tim. 2:1-4)
- Pray for hearts to be soft (Acts 26:18)
- Pray for their eyes to be open and to see God reveal Himself and meet their physical needs. (Matt. 10:7-8)
- Pray for people to step up to be a light, serve, and witness to those around us. (Matt. 5:16; Luke 10:2)
- Pray for eyes to see the opportunities around us. (Isaiah 6:8)
- Pray for boldness to step out to reach the people around us. (Acts 1:8)
About this Plan
We are taking 21 days to seek God first. Prayer is powerful! Prayer is a way that we can partner with God to see His kingdom come and His will be done. When we pray together, it draws us closer to God, bringing not only results but unity as we seek Him together.
