Preparing for Marriage Biblicallyنموونە
PRIORITISE KNOWING GOD
Adam was established in a personal walk with God before Eve came into the scene. Know God before you start knowing the opposite sex. You are to carry your relationship with God into your relationship with the opposite sex. That is the best way to have a fantastic relationship with your spouse because you will relate with your spouse from the perspective of your knowledge and understanding of God, His Spirit, and His ways. Therefore, there will be nothing like “He/she is cheating me” because the Holy Spirit is functioning in each of you.
Your relationship with others should be an overflow of your relationship with God, and that is what makes you safe. I get alarmed at a single brother or sister who is not taking his or her relationship with God seriously. Such will have a calamitous marriage because they will lack the fullness of God’s nature to relate correctly when married.
God formed Adam, put His breath in him and would come in the cool of the day to fellowship with him. After Adam and Eve ate the fruit, God came in His usual way and asked Adam, “Where are you (Gen. 3:8-11)?”Your walk with God as a man is to set you in the divine pattern and order, covenants, provision, and direction from God, such that the things of God govern your life.
PRAYER: Lord, I pray for the baptism of the Spirit of intimacy to build a closer and deeper walk with You, in Jesus’ name. Amen!

About this Plan
Too many people today do little or no preparation when it comes to marriage; instead focusing their energy on a one-day wedding event! The Bible says, "Two are better than one, for they have a better reward!" For these results and rewards to follow your marriage, there is a preparation phase before marriage because it is when preparation and opportunity meet together that destinies happen.
