THE SON'S INHERITANCE

The Bible says that those who believe and receive Jesus into their hearts are rewarded with sonship. To be a child is to have the right to have all that the Father has. A child is entitled to the inheritance. In the Roman Empire of the 1st century, adopted children had rights to inheritance and could not be disinherited. Paul writes in Romans 8 that we have been adopted because of Jesus’ sacrifice and goes on to say that nothing and no one can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus! Jesus, is the firstborn among the brethren. We are His co-heirs! We are seated with Him in the heavenly realms. That's incredible! Let that sink in and learn to enjoy your rights!

We are never to demand anything of God. We are rather to enjoy all that Jesus died to give us. Being a child means that we have intimate access to the Father. It means we can know our rights, use what is ours, be grateful, use resources well, and not be wasteful. Imagine how much Jesus has for us! Live life through that lens and grow even more financially. If you are a Christian, you have spiritually come home and have a huge party set waiting for you. After all it’s not because of what we deserve but because of God’s love. Be a child! Take hold of your inheritance!
