DAY 4 OF 4

Why do I need to share Jesus with other people?

Watch the video about the Great Commission together. Use the following questions and Bible verses to talk it over as a family.

What did Jesus command His disciples to do? Go and make disciples everywhere. Baptize them and teach them what Jesus taught. (Matthew 28:19-20)

What is a disciple? A student or learner

Why do we need to be disciples of Jesus? Once we choose to trust in and follow Jesus, there’s still a lot to learn. (2 Timothy 3:14-17)

What if you don’t know everything about Jesus yet? Can you still teach others about Him? Yes! Jesus commanded everyone who follows Him to teach about Him, not just the people who know a lot. Jesus promises to be with you and give you the power of the Holy Spirit to help you. (Matthew 28:20, John 14:26)

Why is it good to teach people about Jesus? They can choose to live like Jesus, be forgiven for their sins, and be God’s friend, instead of being controlled by sin and not being God’s friend. (Romans 10:13-15)

What if you teach someone about Jesus and they choose not to believe in Him? Pray they’ll choose to follow Jesus every time you think about them, and continue to be kind. (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

If these questions show your child has a solid understanding of the Great Commission, create some action steps to share the Good News about Jesus with family, friends, or people you know as a family.
