The Final Journey

DAY 10 OF 17

Paul’s Case Before the King

Paul reveals the message Jesus gave him on the road to Damascus - a message of hope and rescue for all people.

Read: Acts 26:1-18 (NLT)

Explore the Theme: Paul gets the chance to address King Agrippa, telling him of the words Jesus spoke directly to Paul on the road to Damascus. Has there been a time in your life when you felt God spoke to you directly? Perhaps you didn’t hear words like Paul, but maybe God spoke into your life through scripture, through situations, or other people. Write down what comes to mind as you reflect.

Ask God: Throughout the Old Testament, God asks the Israelites to build monuments commemorating the times when God delivered them from danger, from opposition, or provided a huge blessing. What monuments (or reminders) can you create to remember those times in your life when God showed up? As you examine these, hold them up to any current fears or circumstances you may be facing. Ask God to help grow your faith as you remember his faithfulness.

Live it Out: Find ways to remember God’s provision during difficult times. What practical steps can you take to remind yourself of these so that they are at the ready when you have the opportunity to tell others about them? Is there anyone in your life who God might be calling you to share your story with? Reach out to them this week to start a conversation.

About this Plan

The Final Journey

(Part four of a four part journey through the Books of Acts.) Even in (and especially in?) hard times, God is present and is working to build His Church. We can find encouragement in this. When circumstances force us to pivot, we don’t have to lose heart - God is with us.
