Sermon on the Mountنموونە

SALT & LIGHT
Jesus has called us to not only live for Him, but to lead others to Him!
What does Jesus mean when he says we are to be "Salt and Light" in the world?
Especially in Jesus' day, salt was valuable, salt can act as a preservative, and salt brings out flavor.
As Christians, we are valuable in our culture, we can have a preserving influence in the culture, and we can influence culture for the better.
When Jesus says that we are light, he means that we can light up the darkness around us. We don't have to look far to see darkness in our world. Because God lives inside of us, we can shine His light in a dark world around us!
You can say this prayer to God: "God, help me to make a positive impact on the world around me for God."
