All In: Faith Unfurledنموونە
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be next in line to rule over a kingdom? What about the wealth and power that would come with such a position? Now imagine that while you are in this position, you are faced with the decision to give it all up to live a life of hardship serving God.
This was a very real decision faced by Moses. Many scholars believe that he was next in line to serve as Pharaoh over Egypt. But as Hebrews 11:24 tells us, he chose “…to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.”
There is a choice that is facing every Christian today, but especially our young people. Are you going to give in to the temptation to enjoy the pleasure of sin for a season? After that season, you will be sorry that you did. May I suggest to you that you would choose now to “..suffer affliction with the people of God?” That you would choose to serve the one true God, the risen Savior, Jesus Christ?
Sin might seem like a more pleasurable path, but it always leaves scars. While there might be some temporary pleasure, the scars and regret will be permanent.
Believers, we must think biblically. We must be people of faith. Moses chose to forsake the riches of Egypt. He was not impressed with the wealth of this world. He was living all-in for eternity.
What will it take for you to decide to do the same?
