The 4 Living Creatures Series Part 4: The Eagleنموونە
Altitude
There is an altitude that an eagle is accustomed to flying, that other birds are not able to attain. The reputation of the eagle is that of a bird who can raise itself to a height that the masses of other creatures are unable to reach. The higher you go, the thinner the air. Even among humans, some countries are set at a higher altitude, which can be difficult for a visitor to breathe if their lungs do not properly adapt to the new atmospheric conditions. Children of God are demanded to live up to the standard of God. He demands holiness from us, in a world of carnality.
Everybody admires the majesty of the eagle, but we seldom observe how the eagle has distinguished itself from the multitude. Christ intermingled with sinners, yet He remained untainted by the world. He was the force of influence for His community, without being subject to the pressure of cultural norms. Remember that you carry the spirit of the eagle. Be an agent who will raise the standard of holiness in your generation. Being an oddity is not disadvantageous, but it is rather a distinguishing factor. As an eagle, stand bold to be the example of God's higher standard of righteousness in the world.
