A soldier would never enter a battle without a helmet. A helmet protects the head, and in some Roman soldier’s armor, it even protects the face and ears. The armor of God described in Ephesians calls it the helmet of salvation.
In your head is a squishy blob, your brain. The brain is the control center of everything your body does. It sends messages to all the other parts of the body, keeping everything working together as it should. Jesus saved us from sin. This salvation is the control center of our life. From this, all the parts of our life are outworked.
Our thinking makes a big difference in a battle. With bad thinking, the enemy might overcome us. We can prepare our minds for battle, fill your mind with God’s Word. Then you can stand firm against any attack.
We can stand firm on God’s Word.
