Real Hope: HOPEنموونە
Hope in the Waiting
Hope is a funny thing. We can’t see it, but we can feel it. In the depths of our hearts, we can either feel hope start to blossom, or we can feel it dissolve. When life gets hard, which is does for many, hope can be the only thing that sustains us. Hope can be the only thing that encourages your heart and soul to push on when your mind and body want to stop. So how do we find, and hold onto, hope?
Isaiah tells us that ‘those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength’. We find hope when we look to Jesus. We find the strength to keep going when we put our hope in Jesus. Because it’s Jesus who can sustain us. It’s Jesus who can open impossible doors and move mountains. And it’s Jesus who can give us the supernatural strength and peace to face the storm.
If you have lost hope, can I encourage you to open the Bible and read of God’s faithfulness to the generations? Read His Word and remind your heart that God is a ‘man’ of His word, and His promises are all yes and amen (2 Corinthians 1:20). Let the Holy Spirit encourage your heart and soul with the evidence of God’s goodness in His Word. Sit in worship and adoration of Jesus and let your soul be reminded of who it is that created it and sustains it. To find hope is to find Jesus. To find strength is to find Jesus. And to find life in abundance is to find Jesus.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope (Romans 15:13).
