Next Steps: Learning to Tell Your God Storyنموونە

What’s my story (and why does it matter)?
Has anyone ever asked you, “What’s your God story?” and left you wondering how you should answer? You might be thinking your story should be something like running into a burning building and saving someone or calming the sea while fishing with a buddy and saving the entire fishing trip. It’s alright (in fact it’s normal!) if you don’t have a story like that because a God story is not a time when you did something powerful and God-like. Simply put, your God story is your life story of how you met God and how He changed you. Some people might even call it a testimony.
It can be broken down into three areas:
•What your life was like before you knew Jesus
•When you chose to give your life to Jesus (Your “Come to Jesus” moment)
•How your life changed after you chose to follow Jesus
Over the next four days, we are going to discuss each one of those areas and why it’s important to know and share your God story. It’s about more than just knowing how God changed you, it’s about getting to showcase His power in your life through telling and sharing your God story. Time after time in the Bible, God uses the lives of imperfect people to fulfill His plan and purposes, and God can use your story too!
Today’s Challenge: Schedule a time over the next four days when you can sit down and read the plan as well as complete the challenge!
*Setting a reminder increases the odds of successful completion!
