Real Hope: God's Heart for Humanityنموونە
God With Us
If you’ve been in church services long enough, you may have come across these verses, especially during a Christmas celebration. But it’s so much more than just the story of a miraculous virgin birth, or a fulfilment long ago of a promise that a humble king would come into this world.
There’s so much more richness and intimacy that goes beyond the Christmas season. It’s a beautiful reminder of how much God desires fellowship and friendship with His people.
If you ever have moments where God feels distant, or doubt whether He is for you, or why waiting on God feels exhausting – remember that it’s in the name – Immanuel – God with us.
God understands us – it’s more than empathy. God wants us – it’s more than a desire. God is with us – so much so that He became man. Flesh and bones, blood and sweat, hunger and satisfaction, tears and joy. He understands our frustration and pain, and being separated from His Father, yet He chose to experience humanity Himself.
God is not distant; He has not forgotten us. Every new day can be a celebration of this message.
