Leadership and Your Money: God's Blueprint for Financial Leadership

DAY 2 OF 3

Servant leadership is a game-changer.

It's not about climbing the ladder, lusting for power or control, or looking for what you can get out of your position. Instead it's about lifting others up and seeing what you can give from your position.

Jesus made this clear in Matthew 20:25-28 and Luke 22:24-27. He gave us this wonderfully challenging example to follow.

So, what does that mean for our finances? I believe it means we start by recognizing that everything we have is a gift from God, and we're called to manage it in a way that honors Him.

Again, changing our focus from what can we get out of the money we have been entrusted with to instead asking what can we give or what impact can we make from what we’ve been entrusted with.

Whether it's supporting a mission, helping a neighbor in need, or investing in ethical businesses, it's about using our resources to make a positive impact. That's true leadership.

Let's pray:

Dear Lord,

I am grateful for everything You have given me, knowing that it all comes from You. Please help me to lead by serving in my finances, considering not only my own interests but also the interests of others. Help me to follow Jesus' example of being a servant and not seeking to be served. Please guide me in using my resources to make a positive impact by supporting missions, helping my neighbors, and investing in things that honor You. Teach me to shift my focus from what I can get to what I can give.

I pray all of this in Jesus' name. Amen.
