Revelation

DAY 12 OF 56

There is one person who can open up the scroll, though - the Lion of Judah. But as John looks at the throne, he doesn’t see a lion, but instead sees a lamb. John even used a specific word for “little” lamb. When we choose things to represent us, we usually pick big, powerful animals as our mascots - just look at our sports teams. The Bears, the Tigers, the Jaguars, etc. But for heaven, how beautiful that it’s a lamb. A lamb that represents gentleness, humility, and selfless love. That’s our mascot in heaven.

About this Plan

Revelation

The apocalypse ("uncovering" in Greek) that John receives reveals the nature of the world as it is and will one day be. Amidst all of the cosmic imagery is a Lamb and its army who conquer through the power of sacrificial love. This 8-week plan is written by the church and for the church as we seek to follow Jesus in the 21st century.
