There are relationships in our lives in which love abounds. It comes easily and freely. But other relationships can feel tedious or tumultuous. Asking God to work in these relationships is important to living as God instructs.

Take a second to slow down. Sit on your favorite chair, on your bed, or where you feel most comfortable. Grab a warm blanket or a soft pillow to hug if you'd like. Once you are able to relax, turn your thoughts toward what God has for you today.

Loving others in meekness and with patience is a high goal to achieve. People can have high expectations and be difficult to deal with. Relationships you thought were sturdy and secure can quickly turn into minefields. So how do you navigate these situations without detonation? You can rely on the help of the Holy Spirit.

God instructs us to bear one another in love. We are to accomplish this through humility, gentleness, and patience with the aim of sustaining unity and peace. Be encouraged; you are not alone in this mission. You have God's Holy Spirit to help you and to guide you. He will never leave you or abandon you. You can do this!

PRAYER

God, I worship You for who You are. I want to love You with all my heart, with all my soul, and with all my might. You who knew no sin became sin so we might become the righteousness of God. Your power is infinite, yet You oppose the proud and give grace to the humble. Before the foundations of the earth were established, You called me by my name. You alone are worthy to be praised. Lord, there are times when I operate without humility, patience, and love. I fail to love people the way You love them because I rely on my own strength. Please give me the strength to love like You love. Holy Spirit, please help me to treat people with humility and gentleness. Help me to act with patience and love. Forgive my shortcomings, Lord, and help me discover redemption along the way. God, Your love has never failed and will never fail. Your patience is eternal. Thank You that nothing can separate me from Your love. Thank You for reminding me of Your love through Your Word. Thank You for demonstrating Your love through others. Give me the willingness to love in this same way to those around me. Lord, I know Your desire is for me to love well. Please, Holy Spirit, give me the ability to bear the burdens of those around me. Help me to love with a humble and patient spirit. Give me the willingness to set my own pride aside and love like You. Amen.
