Your Words Have Powerنموونە
Planting Seeds With Our Words
Our tongue maps out our entire destiny, but so many times, we forget that. Everything in this earth is governed by the law of sowing and reaping, and it is true for everything in the physical realm and everything in the spiritual realm. There is a seedtime and harvest according to Genesis 8:22, and faith is a seed that has to be planted. But, too often, we forget that the way we plant that seed of faith is by saying what the Word of God says.
Spiritual seeds are pouring out of our mouths all day long, every day—good seeds and bad seeds. We are like the farmer walking up and down the rows in his field, spreading seeds in every direction by the words coming out of our mouths. There’s one principle in the Word of God by which faith works every single time. And it’s in Romans 10:9-10. It’s written in the positive sense, but it also works in the negative.
If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
That’s your faith principle: believing with your heart and then confessing with your mouth. By the same token, if you confess the wrong things, at some point in time, you will receive a harvest you do not want.
Lord, If I’m in the habit of just speaking what comes to my mind, I ask You to help me become mindful of my words and tone. I pray that my tongue will be used for good and not evil and that I might plant seeds of righteousness. In the name of Jesus, amen!

About this Plan
Do you recognize the true power of your words? For both good and evil? Many people are unaware. If there was one thing you could do to become spiritually mature, would you do it? If just one thing would make you perfect, would you want to know what it is? Let’s look to the Bible for what the book of James has to say.
