Faith & Love: A One Year Bible Reading Plan - Part 8نموونە
When Jesus said "You give them something to eat" to the disciples, they were hungry themselves. They had answered Jesus’ command for generosity with a mindset that spoke of their poverty and their lack.
Many times, when Jesus commands us to better the lives of the people around us, we tend to answer Him from a mindset defined by poverty. That poverty is not necessarily something regarding finances. There are many things we may feel poor in. It may be a poverty of confidence. It may be a lack of faith. Whatever it is, it makes us feel like what we have is not enough. Like who we are, what we can do, isn't good enough.
But the poverty of the disciples didn't stop God's miracle. It was not the ability or the riches of the disciples that enabled this miracle. It was their willingness to obey when it didn't make sense.
God never lacks anything. His will supersedes available resources.
Trust God to do great things, even with the little you have. He is able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all you can ask or think. Your limitations do not limit Him, so trust in Him.
