The Thread: Part IIنموونە

Abram, God's Choice to Show the World
After the nations were dispersed across the globe, God chose a man to walk in his name to accomplish the promise of his redemption of all humankind.
God chose and commanded Abram to leave his natural surroundings and enter the land of promise—where God would bless him for all nations to observe. In this land, he would become the agent of blessing so that all the world could be offered the path to redemption.
"In you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed" is greater than a promise for Abram's natural family. It is a promise that through Abram's offspring will come the Redeemer, the Messiah, the Anointed One of God—who will offer the way back into God's family for everyone who chooses to receive the Messiah.
Question: Did you know that God’s promise to bless all nations through Abram was a promise about the Messiah? What does this long-term plan reveal about God’s character?
Prayer: Spend some time meditating on this. Ask God to reveal his thoughts on the purpose of choosing Abram. Then write it down in a journal for future mediation.
