GOD IS WITH US WHETHER WE HEAR HIS VOICE OR NOT!
"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live." Deuteronomy 30:19:
I was in such despair because I tried to make family and friends think we were living the Beaver Cleaver family life. Don’t lie to yourself, but face reality. Choose a person from your circle that you trust and ask them to help you be accountable to yourself. You owe yourself that, because you, my friend, are a child of the most High God!
I was so fortunate that I heard God’s voice and felt His presence in that moment of decision. I realize that won’t always be the case, but know that God is ‘always’ with us. This is what you need to feed into your mind so that the brain retains it. In life everyone has storms, some more severe than others, but after every storm comes sunnier days. The storms don’t last forever.
I loved my husband and inside I knew the real Dan existed and so did God!” On January 31, 1977, God visited Dan and miraculously removed alcohol, cursing, and smoking from his life!! From that night forward, he never drank, smoked, and to my knowledge ever cursed again. Did we have a perfect harmonious marriage thereafter? No, but we had a marriage led by God, and we traveled the path together! We had many happy times in our 53.5 years of marriage until the day he entered his eternal rest.
I am a living witness that most things are temporary even when they are long-term! Had God not intervened, I would have missed my children growing up, their marriages, my grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Most of all I would have missed God’s call on my life to write devotionals such as this, reaching out to others who need to know that they are so important to God that not any two people have the same fingerprint.
No matter your circumstances or how deep you are in them, always choose life! Our greatest hope is in Christ Jesus!

About this Plan
May the true testimony of how God spared me from taking my life be a source of hope and encouragement. Here I am, decades later, hoping to be a light for Jesus in the darkness of someone’s world. According to Global Suicide Stats, an estimated 703,000 people die by suicide worldwide annually. Never do something permanent over a temporary situation. This is the first in a series.
