Choosing Restorationنموونە
Restored To Restore
The Holy Spirit will restore you so that you can restore others!
Psalm 51 verse 13 speaks of David’s desire to help others with the help he himself received from God.
Our restoration is never all about ourselves. At a certain point, God will move you to begin to help restore others. The prophet Isaiah writes of this beautifully, when he encourages the people of Israel that although they were in exile, God would rescue and restore them. It wouldn't stop there though, because He would use them to rebuild cities and restore a nation.
While our personal restoration is a life-long process, helping others find their restoration is something we should be open to. God loves it when we give people access to our lives in order for them to find Him and the healing He brings. He just needs a willing and available person for Him to channel His restorative power through.
You could be a student, a working professional or a homemaker - it doesn’t matter. When you demonstrate kindness and generosity to those in need you become a repairer of broken walls and a restorer of streets with dwellings. The people whom you help will forever be changed and not just that, generations will be impacted.
When we live out the calling that God has for us individually and when we obey the great commission in our specific context, we find that we bring lasting restoration to others who we cross paths with.
Think it through:
Who can you share your story with and extend a listening ear or helping hand to?
How can you be a channel of restoration rather than a reservoir of God’s goodness?
One gives as well as receives while the other only stores up.
Pray for it:
Ask God to open your eyes to the needs around you and to help you be a blessing to others.

About this Plan
The Spirit of God is actively involved in our daily renewal and transformation so that we emerge more like Jesus. Restoration is a part of this renewing work and is a necessary part of the Christian’s life. Without it, we would not be able to break free from old patterns, attitudes, habits and behaviours. This Bible Plan will help you take the first steps of a lifelong journey of restoration.
