Manifesting the Word of Godنموونە
OUR LIGHT AFFLICTIONS
2 Corinthians 4:17
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;
Yesterday, we learned about the inward and outward man. The light afflictions in today’s text are the things that affect the outward man; the things that the outward man interacts with and changes him. The word “worketh” is from the Greek word “energeia” which means “working like the engine to produce a result”. It can be likened to starting the engine of a car. There is something inside the car that rolls and generates power to move the car.
The scripture in 2 Corinthians 4:17 refers to our light afflictions, not our light enjoyment. If you are looking for sweet and soft things in life, you’ll never become anything tangible. Every muscular man didn’t build muscles by sleeping. The muscles came as they pushed the body and energy against weights, which made the fats disappear to be replaced with lean muscles and new energy. The big question is, “Will you be able to withstand the ‘working-for-you’ process?”
PRAYER: I receive the grace to endure the “working-for-me process” that God brings my way. I know I can always cross from the affliction to the glory in Jesus’ name. Amen!

About this Plan
If you don’t like what you are seeing, change what you are saying. The kingdom of God is a voice activated kingdom; your confession and your words have creative power in them, because the power of God is in His Word and not in His mouth. You have to speak that Word over your life to manifest them. In this devotional, you will learn how to effectively manifest God’s Word.
