21 Days of Filiation: God, Family & Churchنموونە

CHANGE OF MIND
You probably know that we are what we think. You also probably know that the Bible directs us to renew our minds. In Romans 12, the apostle Paul uses the term metanoia (transformation of the mind). In what does our mind need to be changed? This includes thoughts of scarcity connected with orphanhood. And what is the mind of a son like?
The son has his identity well resolved. He has thoughts of abundance, knows his personal worth, trusts the Father's intentions, and does not doubt His love. The son always thinks healthily and has expectations of the best. The son can protect himself even from rejection by family members, which is usually difficult to deal with. To the son, the Father's voice will always be superior to any other voice. Never stop valuing your family ties, but don't equate them with the Father's. The Father's love is endless, renewable, and lasting.
Search the Scriptures to renew your mind and use the filter of Philippians 4 to prevent destructive thoughts from causing pain and estrangement from the Father. Renew your mind and behave like a son ─ this will depend on your level of health and fruitfulness.
