Book By Book 2: 1 Kings To Psalmsنموونە

Chapters 27 & 28 tell of several more kings, and today we are introduced to Hezekiah. Hezekiah begins with cleansing the temple. It involves fixing what is broken, getting rid of what doesn’t belong there, putting back what does belong and making a lot of sacrifices.

It’s not unlike what happens in us when we trust Christ. 2 Corinthians 5:17 talks about how our old self goes away and we become new people when we trust Christ. We don’t need many sacrifices, only one, and that is Jesus.
