Don't Be a Squirrel: Slow Downنموونە
Can Too Much Hope Be Harmful?
Have you ever been in such a hurry that you forgot to look up, and before you knew it, the day was done and you wondered where it went? We miss out on so much of our lives by speeding through, chasing after the next thing on our list. Reminds me of a squirrel – never satisfied, and always going after the next nut. But, pro-tip: Your life is now. Don’t miss it by waiting, or even hoping for then. Today is the future you longed for and worked toward. Reward yourself by honoring the value of now.
Planning for the future is good. Even hoping about your future is good. But did you know that hope can also be a subtle form of stealing your now? If you spend so much time hoping for what's to come, you run the risk of missing what you have right now. When you fixate too much on how things will be better then, or how you’ll be happy when, or what you need to do first in order to be satisfied, you are removing your ability to embrace your now.
God has a good plan for your life. He's made the plans already. In fact, Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God's work. We are His passion. He has carefully crafted you to fulfill a purpose that will bring Him glory and others good. But you might miss out on fulfilling that purpose if you get so caught up in planning for it yourself. God has the plan for you. Trust in Him. Be careful not to get so busy chasing after what's next that you forget to enjoy and live out the purpose in what's right now.

About this Plan
Planning for the future is good. Even hoping about your future is good. But did you know that hope can also be a subtle form of stealing your "now"? When you fixate too much on how things will be better then, or how you’ll be happy when, or what you need to do first in order to be satisfied, you are removing your ability to embrace your now.
