Defeating the Devil’s Designs With the Armour of Godنموونە
Defeating Deficiency
God’s Supply
God is a God of more than enough. He has abundant supply that He gives to His children. Because we live in this world, we need resources to carry out the work that God has asked us to do. Yesterday we learned that the enemy tries to delay the will of God coming to pass. One of the causes of delay is deficiency: not having enough to complete the tasks and projects that God has asked us to complete.
Steal, Kill, Destroy
I remember praying for my church when I saw in my mind’s eye masses and masses of rats coming into the church building and then running away again, carrying bits and pieces. The Holy Spirit told me that I was witnessing the devil’s will for the church. I was not sure how to interpret this evil until I came across the explanation that rats represent financial sabotage and ruin. Not long after that, my church began to have deficits in their budget. You see, the enemy knows that unless the church has the finances required according to their budget, they will struggle to carry out the full vision and mission they received from God.
Shoes of Readiness
God has given us shoes of preparation of the gospel of peace. In Him, we are well-prepared, in all seasons, to do the work of the Kingdom. God’s supply is not just financial. He supplies us with all types of resources: people to come alongside us as a team, opportunities, certain abilities and skills — everything we need to complete the Church’s mission of discipling and sharing the gospel. Where are you deficient? Where are you lacking? Do you know and believe that God is a Provider, a good Father who longs for us to present our needs before Him? A God Who knows what we need, even before we ask? Let’s be encouraged to be bold children who come daily before our God in prayer to trust Him to provide everything we need to do His will.
Reflective Question
Where has deficiency stolen from your growth?
Prayer
Father, You are Jehovah Jireh, my Provider. I will lack no good thing as I seek Your face. I humble myself before You to ask You to protect me from the devil’s design of deficiency. Instead of deficiency, I ask for supply from the storehouse of heaven - not for my own will and desires but so that I have the resources to see Your Kingdom come in my life, my family’s life, my church, and this world. Amen.

About this Plan
None of us will go through this life without facing battles. The death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection mean that we can share in His victory and be conquerors and overcomers. He never promised us that we would not suffer, in fact, He warned us that we would have many troubles in this world. Our strategies for facing these problems are outlined for us in the Bible.
