Real Hope: Constant Godنموونە
God’s Night Sky
God is faithful, He is true, He is love and He is constant. He never leaves us. In the ups and the downs, even when we think He isn’t there or He isn’t listening… He is there!
Having said that, we are often confronted with a need to know immediately and personally that God is with us now. This short devotion cannot provide all the answers to this need, but I can share some insights into my last 54 years of knowing the constancy of God in my life. Ultimately it comes down to faith as Hebrews 11:3 (NIV) says – ‘By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.’ Interestingly this verse encourages us to look up!
The night sky is proof of God’s immensity and constancy. The James Web Telescope [JWT] was launched on Christmas Day 2021 to conduct infrared astronomy of distant stars that are not visible through, say, the Hubble Optical Telescope. THE JWT’s first task was to focus on a tiny section of blank sky to see deeper into that field for the possibility of seeing some stars. The researchers were, however, completely blown away that the ‘blank’ space was completely filled with more and more galaxies.
King David joins the dots when he writes – ‘When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers… what are mere... human beings that you should care for them?’ (Psalm 8:3a,4a NLT).
The positive revelation is that God made the heavens, and He made and cares for me. This, for me, is a starting point for trusting God.

About this Plan
God will outlive our earth, and our earthly bodies. He is not only consistently present, He is consistent toward us – kind, loving, guiding, and continually forgiving. Amongst continual change, God is our constant. He is our North Star. His is our ever-present, all-knowing, personal God.
