The Power of Morning Prayerنموونە
Early morning prayer has increased the spirit of revelation in my life.
I have seen this time and time again in my life. During prayer, I mix in the Word of God. I'll read through the Scriptures, then I pray the Scriptures. Usually, I start with 15-20 minutes of prayer by confessing my sins, worshiping, or with anything else that's on my heart that morning. Then, I read the Scriptures until the moment God speaks to me. The moment His Word speaks to me, I stop reading, pray through that part of the Word, write down what He speaks to me about, and then go back to reading.
Sometimes I do not even get through half of the chapter because the spirit of revelation comes upon me. I'm at the point in my life where I want to be fed by God’s Word. If you want God to speak to you, practice morning prayer and you will experience the spirit of revelation fall upon your prayer life.
I also notice that early morning prayer recalibrates me to His loving kindness.
When you spend time with God, you begin to be recalibrated to His love. You can't live a sustainable life of prayer if you're always trying to earn God's love, instead of living out of God's love. You might come to prayer because you need to be touched by Him, but when you continuously come, He recalibrates your heart, renews, and resets you toward His love. He begins to remind you of how much He enjoys your presence.
Some time ago, as I was going to pray with the mindset of receiving God’s presence, He gave me this eye-opening revelation: He does not just want me to enjoy His presence, but He wants to enjoy my presence too. That revelation changed my life and provided the fuel for a sustainable morning prayer lifestyle.
Let Pray:
Father, Your everlasting love for me is amazing. Thank You for showing me that You want and enjoy my presence too. May this revelation be a motivation for me to be in Your presence every day.
