God's Best for Youنموونە
Does God really have your best interests at heart?
Have you ever wondered if God really has your best interests at heart? It's a valid question because so often we experience situations in life that can cause us to feel like He doesn't. I, too, have asked myself this question and would be only too happy to share with you what God has shown me in response…
The apartment was an absolute dream! I hadn't looked for it—it's like it had found me. Located on beautiful Lake Constance, Germany, it had a lake view and was large and flooded with light. I couldn't get over my amazement when I visited the apartment and the landlady said, "We would love to have you as a tenant."
Surprisingly, after a few days, she turned me down! That really hurt. The dream faded. But at that moment, I noticed how many people were comforting me with these words: "God has something better for you. He wants the best for you."
I kept praying, "Thank You, Jesus, that I can give this to You. I trust that You have my best interests at heart." But I hesitated as questions arose: Did I really believe that God had my best interests at heart? What do you believe? Does God have your best interests at heart? I looked for a Bible verse that said this word for word and found nothing…
God must've smiled at me because with all the doubts I allowed in my heart at the time, I had overlooked the most famous verse that SAYS IT ALL: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16, NIV)
God has given us His best—His beloved only Son! Don't you think He wants the best for our lives, too? He who loves…gives! And the One who gave out of love gave us far more than we deserve! That's our God.
Have you ever been really in love? Then you know how it is. You want the best for that person, and sometimes that means making a difficult choice or closing a door because you know it's best for him/her.
Maybe God has just closed a door in your life because He already holds the key for something better for you! I want to trust Him in this. Do you, too?
Let's thank Him now for all He has prepared for us in His great love!!
You are a miracle!
