Bigger Than Me- Teach Your Child How to Deal With Challenges and Bullying نموونە
Identify
Step One: Help your child identify their Goliath
Today we’re talking about how we can use the David and Goliath story from the Bible to help our children cope with everyday challenges.
We’re all familiar with the story of David and Goliath, where the brave young man defeats Goliath with only a slingshot and a few stones. This same story can be used to help our children when they face difficult challenges.
First, our children have to be able to identify what kind of challenge it is that they’re facing. This could be anything from a challenging school test to peer pressure or being bullied in school. These challenges can be seen as a representation of Goliath from the Bible.
The way that we can help our children to overcome these challenges is by teaching them to copy the actions of David. Rather than relying on their own strength or lack of status, they should place their trust and focus in the Lord. This same mindset can be applied to any type of challenge that our children may face.
Our children should also be taught the importance of having faith and trusting in the Lord and His plan. For example, David trusted in the Lord that He would provide a way for him to defeat Goliath, and he was rewarded for his faith.
In summary, the David and Goliath story can be used to help our children when they face everyday challenges. We need to teach them to identify what kind of challenge it is, and then have faith and trust in the Lord as David did. When they do this, they will be rewarded for their faith and perseverance.
