Bloodline: Spiritual DNA of a Kingdom Warriorنموونە

Day 3:
Beneficiary
Benefit is the root word of beneficiary. A benefit is a valuable function or feature of a particular item or resource that serves a person or thing. Webster defines it as something that produces good or helpful results and effects; promotes well-being; advantage. A beneficiary has an advantage over others. They have been identified and designated beforehand to receive something precious, valuable, or irreplaceable. An inheritance always includes a beneficiary (or multiple beneficiaries) of that inheritance, who is usually pre-determined based on the relationship and/or bloodline of the deceased person.
Our inheritance in Christ can never spoil, fade, or deteriorate (1 Peter 3:4). Those of us who profess and proclaim our faith in Jesus, that He died and rose again, have added our name to the list of beneficiaries of His inheritance. Our heritage of faith entitles us to spiritual assets that never expire or depreciate. Peace, love, joy, kindness, self-control, goodness, gentleness, and patience are just a few (Galatians 5:22). You’ve heard of guilt by association. Spiritually, a Christian’s inheritance is built by association. It’s not earned or deserved, but is freely given to all believers through the love of a merciful and gracious Father. God wrote our will and testament long before we were ever born. He stamped His approval on our beneficiary status, despite our merit.
When we understand how this all ends, and that we win, we can live with eyes and hearts wide open. Once we fully embrace this idea that we don’t have to earn our seat at the table, we can experience true peace and freedom to live and love God’s way. Not only have we sealed our place in eternity, but part of our inheritance also involves favor, prosperity, and blessing here on earth. A billionaire’s bloodline of recipients of his fortune can take comfort in knowing they will never experience poverty or lack. They will, most likely, never fear creditors or loan institutions. As believers, fear is not part of our DNA. It is a lie and a tool the enemy deploys and detonates for the purposes of destruction. God makes guarantees that are indestructible. Our insurance policy is built around our salvation, and it provides access to valuable intangibles that never rust or fade, and are certainly not temporary or fleeting.
Ask Yourself:
What spiritual benefits or advantages are available to me as a follower of Christ?
