Remain True - 1&2 Timothyنموونە
During Paul’s final imprisonment, he wrote this letter to request another visit from Timothy. Second Timothy was written during the final days before Paul’s death in AD 67 or 68.
In this highly personal letter, Paul reminds Timothy of his godly heritage and urges him to keep ablaze the gift God imparted to him when Paul set him apart from ministry. Paul urges Timothy to be strong in Jesus' Church. He uses metaphors such as a good soldier, an athlete, and a hard-working farmer when describing the Christian's calling.
As Paul built up church leaders, he expressed concern for the spread of the truth of the gospel. Paul’s faithfulness in refuting false gospels laid a significant foundation for the early church and us today.
