Prayers of Victory

DAY 10 OF 10

A Public Spectacle

"Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it." Colossians 2:15 NKJV

This scripture is the end-all-be-all description of what Jesus did on the cross, in addition to taking on our sins. His death and resurrection stripped and disarmed the devil and all his principalities and powers once and for all. The warfare you are in may give the illusion of the enemy having more power than he does. It may feel like he's winning. However, you must constantly remind yourself that not only has his weapons of destruction been disarmed, but he also has been publicly embarrassed and made a spectacle of. To make a public spectacle means "to expose one to disgrace." The TPT translation says, "...Jesus led them around as prisoners in a procession of triumph. He was not their prisoner; they were his!" Did you hear that? Jesus was not their prisoner; they were his. We are not satan's prisoners; he is ours.

Declare this once and for all.

Devil, you are a disgrace. You tried to trick me with your lies and deceit. You wanted to make me think I lost the battle. But today, I declare that I have triumphed over you through what Christ Jesus did on the cross. All your powers and principalities are disarmed. You have been paraded around as a prisoner to Christ and to all who believe in Him. You are a public spectacle of what defeat looks like. So, get your hands off my life, my marriage, my children, my health, my finances, my ministry, my businesses, and my future. They are not yours, and I am taking back everything you stole from me. I am no longer your prisoner; you are mine. You are forever defeated in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

About this Plan

Prayers of Victory

When the devil tempted Jesus in the wilderness, he spoke the word of God back to satan and told him to flee. If you are in the middle of spiritual warfare, you need to declare the word of God back to the enemy. The Bible tells us to use the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Therefore, praying the word of God is your defense against the enemy’s attacks. You have all power and authority over satan. The victory is yours. Declare it over your life today.
