EASTER SPIRITUAL INVENTORY

DAY 3 OF 3

SENT

There are lost people all around us. We can't save the world, but we can impact the circle in which we live. Our family first! If we aren't setting the example at home, there is little good in trying to be that example beyond the walls of our homes. They know how we react when we stub a toe, spill a cup of coffee, or a glass of water engulfs the laptop keyboard. They know if we are consistent in who we tell the world we are. It is time to take inventory of who we are spiritually.

Many people feel reaching out to the lost is for the preacher, the evangelist, and the missionaries, but once saved by His grace, we are to become disciples, broadening the church and increasing the kingdom!

When He saw the crowds, He was moved with compassion for them because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest." Matthew 9:36-38

The lost are often living within our homes. Do we love them enough to care about their eternal home?

And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us the task of reconciling people to him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people's sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So, we are Christ's ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, "Come back to God!" 2 Corinthians 5:18-20
Then I heard the Lord asking, "Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?" I said, "Here I am. Send me." Isaiah 6:8

Practice: As we end the Easter spiritual inventory, let us be like the Prophet Isaiah and respond to God with, "Here I am Lord, 'send' me!" That doesn't mean He is calling all of us to faraway lands. Look around; our communities are full of people who have yet to know they have a purpose with God!

About this Plan

EASTER SPIRITUAL INVENTORY

Easter comes once a year, but God meant for us to live it daily. God created you and me in His image, and He ‘lent’ us a designated time upon earth, as we are ‘meant’ to fulfill a purpose. God ‘sent’ Jesus as a sacrificial lamb to cleanse us of all unrighteousness. Easter is a great time to take spiritual inventory so we can live our purpose!
