What Was Jesus' Mission on Earth?نموونە
Jesus’ coming was a conscious decision
“Behold, I have come; in the scroll of the book it is written of me: I delight to do your will, O my God” (Psalm 40:7-8).
We humans have no control over our birth. As we grow up and become aware of our place in the world, we start looking for a purpose in our lives. Having a concrete purpose in mind gives our lives direction and meaning.
Jesus’ coming to earth was different as it was a conscious decision. For long before His birth as a human being, Jesus Christ existed as God the Son. He was involved in creation. He was involved in God's rescue plan for the world, and He was willing to give up His glory and become man — to save our sinful world.
Jesus' coming was described long before in the Bible books of the Old Testament. The purpose of His life on earth was clear beforehand, and was explained little by little by Himself to those around Him.
You had no influence over when and where you were born. But God did! He created every human being, including you. His purpose for all of us is articulated in Psalm 40:8. He wants us to find joy in doing His will. Is that a reality in your life? What are your life goals?

About this Plan
Jesus Christ came to earth for a purpose. His coming was a conscious decision. During the years in which He traveled around the land of Israel and made God's Kingdom known, He also explained why He came to earth. Several times, we read in the Gospels: “I have come to...”. This reading plan aims to trace some of those statements to make us aware of Jesus’ mission.
