30 Days for the Life You Prayed for by Edward Venters

DAY 3 OF 7

The most important rule you could ever go by from this day forward is, “watch your mouth!” Your mouth is the pilot for your destiny, and it is the carburetor for igniting your journey. You are in the infancy stage of your journey, and the new goals and Holy Ghost-inspired path you are on are very fragile. So that means watching what you say; your words carry truth and revelation. They can be viewed as a bullet in a gun, though we tend to take a weapon more serious than our own mouths, the truth is they’re the same. As soon as you speak negative into the atmosphere, it travels to its resting place. Let’s take into consideration Genesis 1:2-5 (ESV), which says:

The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day…

Let’s focus on two major points in this passage. The first, “was without form and void,” means nothing existed in this space. Not until God spoke was there change to this dimension and an immediate change happened. Some scholars say it took millions, even billions of years, for the earth to form. This doesn’t seem to be the case, if we base creation from the Bible and of God, we know it was immediate; when He speaks, things move. When God speaks, there is no delay, especially with nature and inanimate objects. They have no choice but to get in line with the Word of God. So, as we stated in yesterday’s message, we have God inside of us. If He is in us and His power dwells within us, then that means what we say should happen immediately in theory.

There’s just one thing this all falls back on: our level of faith, which is the force in the spirit realm that moves God. Jesus says in Matthew (NKJV), “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”

We will discuss the “let there be light” in tomorrow’s chapter. Take a note; from this day forward, you will watch your mouth and the things you speak.
