Mapping Your Journeyنموونە
Direction
How well you know and get along with people on a journey can make a big difference in how much you enjoy the adventure. This is especially true when you are following someone else’s lead. Trust is built by spending time together and seeing how others care for you. It’s much easier to say “yes” when asked to step into the unknown when you have a strong relationship with the one giving direction. When we put our faith in God, we are saying we trust Him. As Louie Giglio says, the ability to follow God’s lead is linked to the depth of our relationship with Him.

Jesus used the role of a shepherd leading his sheep to illustrate a relationship built on trust. In John 10, He talks about the sheep responding to the shepherd because they know his voice. How well are you able to distinguish God’s voice in the midst of the noise around you? As with any relationship, it grows deeper as you spend time together.
