Finding the Light in God's "No!"

DAY 7 OF 7

DAY 7

REVEALING PURPOSE

I am so thankful you have come with me this week as we studied God’s “No!” through Luke 22:39-46. It can be a hard topic to face because we can feel discontent when God answers our prayers with “No!”.

Even our relationship with God may have a strain on it because of the disappointment in the “No!”

Jesus received a “No!” because His purpose was to fulfill Scripture and endure the world's sins so that we may have eternal life in Heaven.

You may have received a “No!” from God too, perhaps many, but I can guarantee they have been for a purpose. I can also guarantee the “No!” God gives is given alongside strength.

You have been given the strength to make it to another day. You have also been given the strength to receive your “No!” and guide you toward your purpose.

Jesus received a “No!” for a purpose. That purpose is one we all benefit from.

You may receive a “No!” for a purpose. That purpose is one you will benefit from too.

God does not make mistakes. His “No!” is to guide us into His Will. As we seek God and allow Him all authority, we will find peace moving forward in that purpose.

Proverbs 3:5-6 says:

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

You may not understand your purpose now as Jesus knew His, but through trust in the Lord, submitting and giving him all authority, He will guide you in the right direction, the direction of your purpose.

I have prayed this week for you to be able to accept God’s Will. It is human nature to assume we know what is best for ourselves, and our communication with God sometimes can relay that message. Jesus expressed to God His own desires, but He gave all authority to God.

It is ok to let God know your desires. However, remember to allow all authority to be His. When you do, you can walk strengthened, in God’s Will, with peace in your soul.

I pray you can find the peace-filled light in God’s “No!”

You will find the light.

I invite you to join me on another 3 Minutes A Day Series as we look to understand other mental health topics alongside Scripture.
