I Am Not Ashamed of the Gospelنموونە
The good news
The gospel is God’s good news about deliverance from the bad news. It is about how God has chosen to save sinners from the kingdom of death.
It’s also the promised good (Romans 1:2). The good news finds its arrival in the appearance of Christ. The prophets spoke of His coming into the world long before it happened, so the promise of the Savior was given to humankind before He arrived.
The gospel is also the biblical good news. (Romans 1:2–3). Where was this promise? In the Holy Scriptures. You can preach Christ in the Old Testament because God was giving the good news through the prophets before Jesus arrived on earth.
The gospel is the good news of Christ, God’s Son (Romans 1:3–4). The gospel informs us of the deity of Jesus and His incarnation, His humanity. He descended from David according to the flesh. His divinity is proven and declared through His life, death, burial, resurrection, and ultimately His triumph (Romans 1:4). Everything that was announced concerning Christ by others and Christ Himself was proven when He was raised from the dead bodily by the power of God.
The gospel is the good news of Christ’s lordship (Romans 1:4). Jesus Christ is the only Savior given to humankind. He ascended into heaven, and He’s coming again.
The gospel is how God’s eternal saving purpose is being accomplished (Romans 1:5). As the gospel is declared, God is bringing about the obedience of faith.
How do you obey the gospel? You listen as the gospel is preached and turn from your sins. You place your faith in the Savior who is being preached to you. His name is being honored wherever He is received among the nations. Paul can say to the church in Rome, “that includes you who are called to belong to Jesus Christ,” which manifests God’s calling (Romans 1:6–7).
Obedience is a matter of grace because God grants obedience. What He commands to the preaching of the gospel He performs. He works regeneration in the hearts of men and women and grants them repentance and faith. Their eyes and hearts are opened, they turn from their sins and trust in Jesus, and God grants them new birth.

About this Plan
We live the Christian life by faith in the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who loved us and gave Himself for us. He has delivered us from sin and made us His own because He loves us. We are not ashamed of God’s message, the gospel. It is a faithful message of His love for all humanity. From beginning to end, this message calls for faith.
