When I(n) Doubt

DAY 6 OF 7

The power of belief!

At the lowest point of my depression, when I couldn't even walk anymore (I was literally lying on the floor in my apartment!), I still believed. Somehow I still trusted that not only could God bring me out of this terrible place again—but He actually would!

Today, I see that I inherited this trait from my mother. Even when I'd just driven my car into the guardrail, her immediate reaction was "Oh, I'm sure God has something better in store for you!" She says things like this without any doubt at all, and I see them come to pass for her time and time again according to her faith!

My greatest prayer for each of us today is that we wouldn't doubt our faith but rather have faith beyond our doubts!

"'...as you have believed, so let it be done for you…'"! (Matthew 8:13, NKJV) This amazing statement was Jesus' response to the centurion in Capernaum who was terribly worried about his servant. The centurion had just said of himself, "...'Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed.'" (Matthew 8:8, NKJV)

What can we take away from this encounter? The centurion was honest enough to confess that he was a flawed man and made himself small before Jesus. His faith, in turn, was great enough to know that all things are possible for Jesus!

I believe that we can really learn something from this passage today! Nothing, really nothing, is impossible for Jesus—if we only believe! (see Mark 9:23) The burning question for each one of us, then, is "Do I really believe?"

Are you willing to make yourself small and your faith big? In other words, are you willing to confess even your faults and sins to Jesus before you ask Him for anything?

God's desire is for you to develop faith like this. He is pleased when He sees great faith in you!

Today, what if He surprises YOU with the miracles He often performs in response to faith? All things are possible...to whom? To you! I encourage you to really believe Mark 9:23 today! :-)

Life with God can be so exciting! Taste it to the fullest!

You are a miracle!

About this Plan

When I(n) Doubt

The word ‘doubt’ can be a noun and a verb. It can define us and stop us from acting. Is that you today? Do you need encouragement to keep walking in faith?
