Waiting for a Miracle
I know that God does miracles!
My wife Laurel is a miracle.
Laurel has the miraculous gift of joy and inexhaustible hope. Her passion for Jesus is infectious and she never misses an opportunity to remember the miracles of God and to give God glory for all that He has done in her life. Laurel is a champion for faith and loves to call other people into a deep and intimate relationship with Jesus that is characterized by deep questions, personal conversations, and renewed hope. I love watching God do miracles in and through my wife.
Jesus has healed Laurel physically on more than one occasion. Through the power of His Word and His ability to heal anything, God has restored Laurel’s health more than a few times. On this physical journey of trusting God, Laurel shares that for every person, there are steps of faith:
Faith to believe IN God
Faith to believe in what God CAN do
Faith to believe in what God WILL do
Can you take a small step forward today toward all that God WILL do? For each of us, we are called to believe, but God wants us to not only believe in Him, but that He CAN and WILL heal our hearts, minds, families, bodies, and souls.
I could go on and on about all of the miracles God has done for Laurel, but I also
want to share another side of the story with you. Laurel has two degenerative eye conditions, Biette’s Crystalline Dystrophy and Cystoid Macular Edema (which has left her legally blind) and we have been faithfully praying for the healing of her eyes for almost 30 years. Many of us have seen and experienced God’s miracles but often, the miracle we want most, is still waiting to be granted.
Today, I want to encourage you to not give up! Keep asking God for your miracle. Now is not the time to back away, it’s the time to intensify our requests because of who God is!!! We use the “YES” of the past to feed the fire of our passion today. Peter said, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.” (John 6:68-69, NIV)
I need to remind you that the God of miracles said, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him?” (Matthew 7:7-10, NIV)
We have a GOOD Father and in moments when we need a miracle, we can turn towards Him and He will give us the words of eternal life.
My friend, I am praying for your miracle today. As someone who has seen miracles, but still desires to see more, I am with you in believing that today is the day of your miracle.
To encourage you, I want to share with you Carl’s story. Carl was in a near-death car accident several years ago. He's been on the road to recovery, and is now serving in a local ministry again!
Believing for your miracle!
Your friend –

About this Plan
Miracles happen around us, but do we believe they can happen to us? How can you open your eyes and see the miracles which God brings to you every day, in the good, the hard, and the unbearable? You are invited to look up and around and see the goodness and faithfulness of God’s miracles in your life.
