Overcome! Enjoy Your Heavenly Clothes
Why do brides universally prefer to dress in white for their weddings? The color just seems to be perfect for the occasion--purity, a new start, joy, elegance. Dark colors are for funerals. A wedding dress needs to be white.
You and I are heading for a wedding--the Big One, when Christ the Bridegroom comes for the believers, his church, his bride. The heavenly Groom is very particular about his bride’s outfit. He wants us to wear the pure and beautiful robes of his holiness, bought for us at the terrible price of his life. In heaven we will not only have our sinful criminal record expunged, but we will personally be cleansed as well. Won’t it be wonderful never again to have an evil desire? speak wicked words? offend God with evil deeds?
Overcome! Don’t let Satan steal your place at the wedding or persuade you to throw away your clothes. Overcome! The hardships and struggles are soon over and will become a faint memory. Overcome! You can lean all the weight of your hopes and expectations on your Savior, Jesus. “He who overcomes will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out his name from the book of life, but will acknowledge his name before my Father and his angels” (Revelation 3:5).
His gift of grace makes you look beautiful to him. Your name in the book of life is in his handwriting.

About this Plan
Day by day we are bombarded by temptation, sin, and Satan's attempts to lure us away from God. This reading plan reminds us that over and over God encourages us in his Word to hear his voice, believe his promises, claim his unconditional love and free forgiveness, and overcome.
