Real Hope: History Makersنموونە
Phenomenal Legacy
Do you want to be a history maker? Then think carefully about the legacy you leave wherever you go. Many years ago I led a youth Bible study. As they neared the end of Year 12, I asked them all where they felt God was leading them in the year to come. One girl very honestly replied, ‘I’m going to go and experience the life I’ve been missing out on’. She was telling us that she was walking away from God and her Christian journey in pursuit of what the world had to offer. It was a heart-wrenching moment for us all because we loved her and desperately wanted her to change her mind. But all I could think to say was, ‘We love you and understand that this is your journey so we just want you to know that no matter where it takes you, God loves you. That will never change.’ It’s a moment that deeply impacted me and has shaped me to have the same overwhelming desire for anyone I meet. I cannot control how people respond to the Gospel.
I cannot control how people process the way my faith works in my decisions and views. But above anything, I want to make sure they know God’s love for them is immense! Romans 8:35–39 describes how nothing can separate us from God’s love. Nothing! If you believe those words, then it means that whatever we do, wherever we go, whoever we meet, we can assure them that God’s love is unstoppable and is for them too. No matter their history, their future can be shaped by His unstoppable love! Let’s leave the legacy of this truth everywhere we go – that will make phenomenal history!

About this Plan
The message of the Gospel is one that has impacted generations throughout history, transforming the lives of individuals, families, communities and nations. History is being written even today, through the message of the Gospel, a message we all play a part in. As we journey through this devotional plan, we pray you’ll see that your life is a part of the story being written by God’s own hand. A story that tells the history of Christian faith and proclaims the saving grace of God offered to all who come.
