Strong Through Life

DAY 1 OF 7

Are you goal-oriented or problem-oriented?

When I was on my way to a TV shoot, I hit a big puddle on a highway exit, and my car started to skid. It was impossible for me to steer, and I knew it wouldn't end well. I was sadly right—my car ended up totaled.

My first thought was, "Is there another way for me to get to the shoot?" My next thought quickly followed: "Thank the Lord that no one got hurt!" There would've been so many reasons to break down and cry right then, but I had a clear goal in mind. I knew my mission that day was to follow through with that interview because it would help people on their path to freedom!

I'd like to encourage you today to be goal-oriented rather than problem-oriented!

From a human perspective, difficult situations like these in life will always slow you down—literally. But from a heavenly perspective, God wants to show you how He wants to make a lasting difference through these situations! For example, He may use them in a powerful way to deepen your faith!

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28, NKJV)

When you turn your gaze away from the problem and towards God, you'll realize that your mission today may have been slowed down—but only so that you could be given more than you ever expected!

I believe one of your very first thoughts in the morning should always be, "What is my assignment from You today, Lord?"

And then thank Him! As you do so, right in the midst of your difficulties, you'll see Him point out many wonderful things you would've otherwise missed. :-)

Your problems are never bigger than your God!

You are a miracle!
