Live Healed نموونە
Healed Relationally
As a follower of Christ, our social fabric is to be knitted in community with our fellow brothers and sisters. When we fellowship the way God intended (i.e. in unity), He is there to command a blessing. On the contrary, He is unable to answer our prayers through unforgiveness we have towards another. Unfortunately, I see conflicting results of what living in offense and poor relationships does to your health daily. So for all of us to live healed and walk in peace, let’s look at two passages and witness how God demonstrates unity to heal.
Have you ever been so sick that you were confined to a bed? Was anyone there who could bring you chicken soup? In the book of Mark, we read of a man who himself was crippled. Knowing Jesus was near, his four friends did whatever it would take to make sure he would be healed. In this case, they climbed onto a roof, opened a hole, and then lowered him in front of Jesus to make sure he would be seen. Even though we never “hear” them say anything in this passage, Jesus recognizes his friend’s faith and heals him. I want to encourage you to pray for God to bring people into your life who will do whatever it takes to help restore your healing.
Today, we live in a time when relationships are at their most fragile and can crumble in a second, sometimes without warning. This is not God’s intention, and He takes this seriously. In Matthew, God tells us that if we are holding a grudge towards our brother (or sister), and we are presenting Him with offerings, we are to leave our offering at the altar, repent, forgive, and then reconcile. Who do you need to reconcile with?
Broken relationships often lead to stress on our bodies; this can accelerate sickness and a weak immune system. First, pray for God to reveal the person who you need to forgive, or be forgiven from, and then consider removing sugar from your food choices since sugar depletes your body of nutrients to combat sickness.
Prayer for Healed Relationships: Father, I come to You seeking Your wisdom. I thank You for Your healing power, and I know Your plans for me are good. I want to walk in forgiveness and peace with the relationships in my life, and I ask that You show me who I need to forgive and reconcile with. I ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
