I Am Rahab: How to Unlock Your True Identityنموونە
Rahab was a woman of faith born into a family and nation that did not worship the living God. She was born into idolatry and controlled by the spirit of lust. Rahab's case was hopeless.
Like Rahab, we did not choose our biological families and birthplace. Thus, we come into some covenants involuntarily and inherit transgenerational trauma. In addition, territorial spirits or principalities (Daniel 10:13; Ephesians 6:12) make us uniquely vulnerable to certain anti-God ideologies and practices. Hence, we may find ourselves stuck in unhealthy relationships and lifestyles due to our family history, geographical location, or personal choices of sin and rebellion.
Thankfully, when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, our spirit man is transformed, we join a new family, and we become citizens of heaven. This spiritual renewal can cause instant freedom or guide one to begin a journey to freedom from addiction, curses, or whatever conceals one's true identity. I believe God takes us on this journey so we can comfort others, learn how the spirit realm works, and stay free.
Today, I invite you to reflect on the ways your family history and predominant ideologies in your geographical location have influenced your habits. Then meditate on the following scriptures:
Ephesians 1:5
1 Peter 2:9
2 Corinthians 5:17-20
