Joy to the Worldنموونە
Jesus Gives Us His Church
(It would be beneficial to read the Scriptures before beginning each day.)
For our last day, we move far beyond the Christmas story and discuss how we are an active part of bringing this news of joy to the world! The church and how it serves to accomplish the same things that Jesus did through the Christmas story. As followers of Jesus, we are called to bring this same news of joy and peace to people.
Martha Goedert quoted an African proverb that says, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” There are times when it is important for us to seek God personally and privately, but if we truly want to bring joy to the world, we need to do that in community. Even Jesus had a group of people He did ministry with and to whom He entrusted important things. If you aren’t already, we encourage you to find a church that can help you bring joy to the world and bring the Gospel farther than ever before.
How would you describe the Church?
Are you plugged into a church? If not, how can you change that?
How can you bring joy to the world personally? How could you do it in a group?
About this Plan
Imagine having the best news ever, and only talking about it once a year! We can’t do that when we have a message that can bring joy to the whole world! Let’s take the “Christmas” story, and remember that it is good news for all people at all times of the year.
