Our Daily Bread: Serving Togetherنموونە
Language of Love
I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. -John 17:23
Christians seek the unity and love we see in the Scriptures. Working together as followers of Jesus, many people will meet our Father in heaven.
As a director of partnerships and church engagement at Our Daily Bread Ministries in the United States, I serve Hispanic communities through this vision: “That people of all nations experience a personal relationship with Christ, grow spiritually in His likeness, and serve a local church together with the family of God.”
In all of our diversity, with humility, we honor those in our past as we work toward the unity Jesus asked of the Father for us: “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you” (John 17:20–21). Our faith in God’s love encourages us to this oneness.
During National Hispanic Heritage Month, from September 15 to October 15, we recognize known and lesser-known leaders from the Hispanic community and their contributions to United States history and culture.
We celebrate Latin American Independence Day on September 15, and Race Day on October 12.
As we remember, we hope for a bright future for all of our children. Our faith unifies us and inspires us to serve our neighbors. Guided by God’s love, we can bring our culture and gifts to share with the world in Jesus’ name.

Whatever our individual story, how does the power of God’s language of love call us to unite cultures, nations, and generations?
Father, as I celebrate my heritage, help me to deliver Your good news as I build, share, and serve in unity with fellow believers.
