Catechism: For Real?نموونە
You’ve seen the perfect TV family that absolutely does not exist, but what if it actually did? God has a plan for his family with him at the center of it all without fail!
Being part of God's family is all about experiencing our Father's unconditional love and mercy in the midst of a world that will drop us if we don't identify by their standards.
It is about trusting in him to provide, care for, and hear us when we pray. We can cry out to God and know that his presence - the Holy Spirit - is with us.
Because we are his children and belong to him, God has made us heirs and citizens of heaven! What does this mean?
Being God's heir means that God sees us as his treasured possession, and we have access to God and eternity with him. Being a citizen of heaven means that we are faithful to Jesus above all else and recognizing that our true home is in heaven.
When the kingdoms of the earth fail or fall, God’s Kingdom will never end. God shows us that we belong to him: he’s our loving Father, and our ultimate place of belonging is with him forever.
Read: Ephesians 1:4-7; Philippians 3:20; Galatians 4:4-7
Consider: In Ephesians 1:4-7, how did God make a way for us to belong to him and to his family?
Reflect: How does thinking of eternity affect the way we view our identity, current struggles, and hope for the future?
