Jesus: Higher Than Allنموونە
Jesus is the Author of Creation
Jesus is… “the firstborn of all creation. For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him.” (Colossians 1:15-16)
God exists in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The Son is most known for His salvation work. He became man, suffered and died, rose from the dead, and returned to heaven. Long before God the Son became man, He was there as a member of the "trinity". He existed “before all things”, and everything was created by Him, through Him, and for Him. He was fully involved in the creation. He is its author and purpose.
All things were created in just six days, as Genesis 1 records. But after this week, God did not turn His back on creation. Colossians 1:17 says that all things hold together in Jesus. He keeps the physical and the spiritual world from falling apart. Just as people can only have redemption in Jesus, the universe is not an independent system following its own natural laws but can only exist by His power.
Did you realize that Jesus is so involved in upholding the universe?
